Tell us about the trip you have in mind

1 About you

One of these two is enough. Give us both if you would rather we used whichever is easier.

Which passport you will travel on. Visas, permits and park entry all depend on it.

2 When you would like to travel

3 Who is travelling

Ages matter: several parks and gorilla and chimpanzee permits carry a minimum age, and lodges differ on what they can take.

4 Where you would like to go

Choose as many as you like, or none at all if you would rather we suggested.

5 What you would like to do
6 The budget you have in mind

These bands describe what you have in mind, per person, not counting international flights. They are not our prices — this site does not publish any. Knowing the band saves us both suggesting a trip that was never going to fit.

7 Anything else

Anything that would change what we suggest — a celebration, someone who does not walk far, a lodge you have already seen, a flight already booked.

What you send is saved on this website and emailed to our planners. It is used to answer your enquiry and for nothing else.

What happens to what you send

  1. It is written down first

Your enquiry is saved on this website the moment you send it, before anything else happens to it. Nothing depends on an email getting through.

  2. Then it is sent to the planners

The saved copy is emailed to our office. If that email fails, the page tells you so rather than leaving you to guess, and the saved copy is still there.

  3. A planner reads it and replies

A person reads what you wrote and answers on the email address or the number you gave. No automatic quote, no mailing list, no sales sequence.

What you can check

Why travel with Tranquil Safaris?

116 itineraries are published on this site, across 12 destinations; 49 of them run through Uganda, where the company is based and licensed. Any one of them can be read in full — the route, the parks, the nights — before you speak to anybody. What follows is the case for using us, and not one line of it asks you to take our word for it.

  1. The whole trip is written down first

Every trip of four days or more is set out one day at a time: where the day goes, what happens in it, where the night is spent. The one-, two- and three-day trips are written up in full as prose instead. Nothing is held back until you enquire.

    Read the itineraries
  2. A park is named only when a day is spent in it

A trip is listed against a park because its itinerary genuinely spends time there, never because the name turns up in the write-up. 40 parks and reserves are covered on that rule, and each one lists the trips that actually go.

    Browse parks and reserves
  3. Small groups, or the vehicle to yourself

Groups are kept small — typically four to twelve guests — and a private departure can be arranged instead.

    See the booking FAQs
  4. A planner answers, not a checkout

There is no basket on this site, no price list and no booking engine. Shortlist what interests you in the trip planner, or write from the contact page: the message reaches the people who plan the routes.
