Why choose us

No two travellers want the same trip

At Tranquil Safaris, we understand that every traveler is unique, and we pride ourselves on our ability to create tailor-made experiences that cater to your individual needs and desires.

In practice

What tailor-made actually means here

Written day by day, not sold off a shelf

A trip of four days or more is planned out day by day before anyone travels, and the short one-, two- and three-day trips are written up in full as prose instead. Either way you can read exactly where each day goes, how long the driving is, and what happens in between, before you commit to anything.

See every itinerary

The parks named, so you know where you are going

We record the 40 parks and reserves our trips visit, and each itinerary lists the ones it genuinely spends a day in — not the ones it merely drives past. If a trip says Bwindi, it means a day in Bwindi.

Nothing is booked automatically

There is no online payment step and no automated booking. You speak to someone who has planned the route, and the itinerary is adjusted before anything is confirmed.

Responsible tourism

These lands are somebody’s home

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to responsible tourism. We firmly believe that the preservation of Africa’s natural wonders and cultural heritage is not just a responsibility, but a privilege.

That’s why we work hand in hand with local communities, supporting sustainable development initiatives and ensuring that the benefits of tourism are shared with those who call these lands home. By choosing Tranquil Safaris, you become a part of this vital conservation effort, leaving a positive impact on the places you visit.

What you can check

Why travel with Tranquil Safaris?

116 itineraries are published on this site, across 12 destinations; 49 of them run through Uganda, where the company is based and licensed. Any one of them can be read in full — the route, the parks, the nights — before you speak to anybody. What follows is the case for using us, and not one line of it asks you to take our word for it.

  1. The whole trip is written down first

Every trip of four days or more is set out one day at a time: where the day goes, what happens in it, where the night is spent. The one-, two- and three-day trips are written up in full as prose instead. Nothing is held back until you enquire.

  2. A park is named only when a day is spent in it

A trip is listed against a park because its itinerary genuinely spends time there, never because the name turns up in the write-up. 40 parks and reserves are covered on that rule, and each one lists the trips that actually go.

  3. Small groups, or the vehicle to yourself

Groups are kept small — typically four to twelve guests — and a private departure can be arranged instead.

  4. A planner answers, not a checkout

There is no basket on this site, no price list and no booking engine. Shortlist what interests you in the trip planner, or write from the contact page: the message reaches the people who plan the routes.
