2 Days Budget Murchison Falls Safari

This 2 days budget safari will take you to visit Murchison Falls National Park. The park offers you one of the best safari experiences starting from game drives which involve wildlife viewing, to watching various bird species including the rare shoebill, to also catching the Nile perch while fishing along the Nile. The savannah plains, forests, magnificent waterfalls and the wildlife are breathtaking. During this tour you will be able to see some animals such as leopards, lions, warthogs, elephants, antelopes, elephants, Nile crocodiles, hippos, hyenas and giraffes. Tour Plan

Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe – Murchison Falls NP

You shall be picked up from your hotel early morning around 6:00am and drive to Murchison following the direction of Masindi district via Luwero. The journey is about 5hours and 30minutes yet incredible offering you a sight of the country’s evergreen landscapes. Arrive at the park, proceed to your lodge and relax, have lunch and get ready for an afternoon boat cruise on River Nile. Head for boat cruise, that afternoon, whereby you will have chances to spot various wildlife and bird species while on the boat such as crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos, elephants, not forgetting the welcoming sight of the spectacular falls that become clearer as you approach them. After that you can hike to the top of the falls have a more clear view of the falls (hike lasts for about 50 minutes) or you could return with the boat to meet your driver. A hike to the top of the falls is based on the water levels of the river. Drive back to your lodge that evening, have dinner and an overnight. Accommodation can be at the lodge of your choice but since this is a budget safari, we would suggest lodges like Fort Murchison Lodge.

Day 2: Early Morning Game drive – Head to Kampala

Have an early breakfast from your lodge, then set off for a game drive through the mesmerizing savanna plains. You will see animals like the giraffes, buffaloes, lions and large herds of elephants, plus a chance to spot a leopard. The game drive shall be done in a 4wheel drive car with a pop-up roof which will enable you view well and take nice photos.
