3 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari

This 3 days safari will take you to Kidepo Valley National Park, situated in the Karamoja region in Northeastern Uganda in a District called Kabong. The park is also referred to as the True Wilderness Park because it is hot, dry, isolated, yet it magnificent, spectacular and a virgin place that needs to be visited.

Day 1: Kampala – Kidepo valley NP and Enjoy a Nature Walk

You will have a pick up after your breakfast by the guide to Entebbe Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip basing on where your flight will be to be transferred to Kidepo. Upon arrival at the Park, you will have refreshments and later go for a guided nature walk through the park escorted by a skilled Park ranger guide. This walk is remarkable as you will be mesmerized with the beautiful scenery of the savannah plains and mountains in the area. Drive to the lodge of your choice for diner and an overnight. Day 2: Game drive – Cultural Encounter

Enjoy an early breakfast and head out for a Game drive through the Park where you will see large herds of buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks and other animals as well as the big birds such as the ostriches. After the game drive, have lunch at the lodge and at around 4:00pm go for a cultural encounter in the Karamojong Village. You will have a wonderful time learning more about their culture and entertainment. Later that evening, return to the lodge. Accommodation Options;

Day 3:  Game drive and Return to Kampala

After breakfast as you head out, you will watch the sunrise and continue with your guide you for another drive towards the seasonal river where you will see numerous bird species such as shoebill, yellow warbler, Hamerkop, Fish Eagles among others. After transfer to your lodge and have lunch, then drive to the Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe.

Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo is home to over 77 species of mammals as well as over 500 bird species which co-exist with the savanna, mountain forests, sand rivers, bush land and hills surrounded by rock kopjes. The animals that have made this park home include; zebras, bushbucks, cheetahs, cape buffaloes, lions, defassa waterbucks, elephants, warthogs, giraffes, reedbucks, elands, duikers, bush pigs, wild dogs, stripped hyenas among others.
