2 Days Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari

This 2 day wildlife safari will take you to Lake Mburo National Park which is situated 235km from Kampala via Masaka Rd which is about 4hours drive. This park offers great opportunities to see abundant wildlife species such as zebras, Impalas, topis, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, and various species of birds. It also offers spectacular views of its landscape which range from the savannah grasslands, to the lush forests, to the seasonal swampy lakes, and the rolling hills. The park hosts 5 lakes which give you an opportunity to engage in sport fishing where you can catch different fish species including the Tilapia.

Tour Plan

Day 1 : Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, brief you about your 2 day safari. Later transfer you to Lake Mburo NP, along the way you will have a stopover at the Drum Maker’s center in Mpambirwe where you will see how local drums are made. Upon arrival, you will have lunch at the lodge of your choice and advance for a Boat cruise along Lake Mburo where you will see a number of animals such as buffaloes, bushbucks, hippos, crocodiles, different bird species and spectacular landscapes of grassy hills and wetlands. In the evening, return to the lodge for diner. Accommodation Options

Day 2: Morning Game drive and Departure

Have an early morning breakfast at around 6:45am and head out for a game drive through the park. During the drive you will be able to see the nocturnal animals before they return back to their places of hiding. Also expect to see other animals like warthogs, zebras, impalas, topis, giraffes, buffaloes and bush-bucks. During the drive, in case you are lucky you will see the elusive Leopard. After the Game drive, drive out of the park, you shall have lunch at the Equator and also buy crafts and souvenirs to carry back home with you. Also ensure that you pose for enough photos at the equator. Arrive in Kampala in the evening and you driver will drop you off at your lodge or the Airport.
