Day 1: Arrive in Entebbe and Transfer to Kasese

Day 2: Briefing and Trek to Nyakalengija

After a hearty breakfast, you'll receive a comprehensive briefing from your expert guides, covering essential information about the trek, safety protocols, and what to expect along the way. Afterward, you'll commence your journey by trekking to Nyakalengija, the first campsite on the Rwenzori trail. Day 3: Trek to Nyabitaba Hut

Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Rwenzori range, with its towering peaks and glaciers glistening in the distance. After reaching the hut, take a well-deserved rest and prepare for the next day's ascent.

Day 4: Trek to John Matte Hut

Prepare for a strenuous but rewarding day as you continue your ascent towards the John Matte Hut, situated at an elevation of approximately 3,400 meters (11,155 feet). The trail will lead you through alpine meadows, rocky outcrops, and past stunning glacial lakes. Keep an eye out for the unique flora and fauna that thrive in these harsh yet beautiful environments. Day 5: Acclimatization and Exploration

Day 8: Trek to Nyakalengija and Transfer to Entebbe
