The safari takes you to the sanctuary of Rhinos  known as Ziwa Rhinos, a home to the remaining wild rhinos, to Uganda’s largest National Park known as Murchison falls home to various wildlife species and the magnificent water falls, Kibale Forest to track Chimpanzees, then to Queen Elizabeth for game viewing, you will see climbing lions in Ishasha sector, to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to trek Mountain Gorillas and also to L.Mburo National Park for game viewing, expect to see zebras and giraffes while in this park.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park

You will be picked up from the Airport or your hotel by your driver guide after breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos. After tracking proceed to Murchison with another stop for lunch in Masindi, arrive in the park that evening and drive to the falls. While at their top, the view is very spectacular and picturesque. After continue to the lodge for diner and overnight there. Accommodation Options;

Day 2:  Early Game drive and Boat cruise on the Nile in Murchison Falls NP

Enjoy an early breakfast and head out for a game drive through the stunning savannah in search for wildlife such as elephants, waterbucks, antelopes, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, and lions. Also when you are early enough there is chance for spotting the early risers. After, drive to the lodge for lunch, thereafter set off again for the breathtaking boat cruise on the Nile, where you will see Nile crocodiles, hippos, amazing bird species and above all the mesmerizing and mighty water falls. Firstly the falls are spotted from a distance and the more you proceed with the cruise, the clearer they become, this experience is rewarding. Day 3: Leave Murchison for Kibale Forest National Park

Check out of the lodge after breakfast and begin your journey to Kibale Forest. The journey is filled with great views through the savannah and amazing country side views. Have lunch en route and arrive at your lodge in the evening. Relax at the lodge and have diner. Accommodation Options;

Day 4: Chimp tracking – Travel to Queen Elizabeth

Leave your lodge early enough after breakfast and arrive at the park head office in Kanyanchu for briefing. After follow your ranger guide’s leading into the forest to track the chimpanzees. You will not only see the chimpanzees in this forest, there are other primate species you will see such as the L’hoests monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons as well as various bird, tree and butterflies species. Only one hour will be given to you when you meet the chimpanzees, after head back to the starting point and go for lunch at your lodge, thereafter check out and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Day 5:  Game drive – Wildlife viewing and Boat Cruise

Enjoy an early breakfast in order to begin the game drive early. The drive takes two to three hours and goes through the kasenyi plains. You will see many animals such as elephants, bushbucks, warthogs, buffaloes and the early risers such lions. After the drive return to the lodge, have lunch as you get ready for the boat cruise. Thereafter drive to the banks along Kazinga channel where you will board the boat from and cruise along the channel, it’s an exciting experience. During the cruise you shall see various birds like the shoebills, kingfishers and many wild animals across the plains and banks. Go back to the lodge and dine there. Accommodation Options;

Day 6: Leave Queen Elizabeth National Park for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Leave Queen for Bwindi; on this day, go through Ishasha sector and spot tree climbing lions, elephants, kobs, buffaloes and other animals. You will enjoy this drive. Have lunch en route and proceed to Bwindi, upon arrival check in at your lodge, relax, enjoy diner and spend a night there. Accommodation Options;

Day 7:  Gorilla Trekking & Batwa community visit – Bwindi

After a hefty breakfast, drive to the head offices of the park around 7:00am for briefing. Briefing is important because you get to learn a lot and know what to do and not to do while with the gorillas. After being briefed, follow the ranger into the forest in search for the mighty giants. Tracking gorillas will take 2 to 6 hours and the moment you see them, you are allowed to only spend one hour with them. Therefore ensure to use this hour well by studying the behavior of the gorillas and taking photos. After have your packed lunch or get back to the lodge for lunch, relax that afternoon and in the evening take a walk to the Batwa community and engage in their day-to-day lifestyle, culture and customs. Have an overnight stay and diner at your lodge. Accommodation Options;

Day 8: Travel to Lake Mburo – Boat ride

Have breakfast, leave southwestern Uganda and drive to Lake Mburo NP. Enjoy lunch on your way. When you reach the park just proceed for a Boat cruise along the lake thereby seeing various crocodiles, hippos, different water birds plus several picturesque landscapes. Later drive to the lodge, for diner and unwind. Accommodation Options

Day 9: Return back to Kampala

After breakfast, before you embark on the journey to Kampala, do a game drive within the park’s acacia woodland, hillsides and areas in search for animals. You shall spot zebras, elands, giraffes, waterbucks, elands, bushbucks, topis and many more species. After that proceed to Kampala with a stop at the Equator for lunch and memorable photo shoots, also buy some souvenirs. Arrive in Kampala that evening and the guide will drop you off at the airport in Entebbe or your hotel.
