5 Days Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Safari

This 5 days Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Wildlife Safari takes you to two of Tanzania’s main National Parks; Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, they are located in the northern region of the country. Both Tarangire and Ngorongoro offer tourists great safari experiences as they are able to see Tanzania’s Big 5 and other wildlife species.

Tour Plan

Day 1: To Tarangire National Park

Pick up from Arusha by our profession safari guide, either from your hotel or the Airport, he will brief you about the 5 days Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Wildlife Safari. After that, he will transfer you to Tarangire National Park, a famous wildlife park with big herds of elephants and other wildlife species. When you reach the park, check in at your lodge, have lunch and go for an evening game drive with the guide for great sightings of wildlife, birds and spectacular views.

Day 2: Full Day Tarangire Experience

Have an early breakfast and enter the park for wildlife viewing, expect to see elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, zebras, kudus, wildebeests, impalas and giraffes. After the morning drive, return back to your lodge, have lunch and relax. After relaxing, go for an evening game drive through the park with a sundowner. Afterwards, head back to your lodge, dine and spend a night.

Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, leave Tarangire and drive to Ngorongoro, it is a stunning crater about 2000ft deep hosting over 30,000 wildlife species including the African Big 5. Along the way have lunch and visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum where you will see ancient fossils and other things. After proceed to your lodge, unwind and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Experience

Be early to rise up, enjoy a well prepared breakfast and your guide will take you for a game drive to Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend to the crater base to meet amazing wildlife species such as leopards, elephants, zebras, antelopes, rhinos, wildebeests, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes. After the morning drive, have a picnic lunch and resume again with another game drive, after return back to the lodge, enjoy diner there and an overnight stay. This day is for game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 5: Return to Arusha

Have breakfast, and after have the last game drive through Ngorongoro crater to look out for more game. After the drive, return to the lodge and check out and embark on the return journey to Arusha for your flight back home or be dropped off at your residence in Arusha.
