Day 1: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park
Join an extraordinary 6-day Uganda flying safari, a thrilling expedition that will transport you to the breathtaking Murchison Falls National Park, the largest park in Uganda, and the captivating Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Throughout this unforgettable Ugandan safari, take part in a handful of riveting activities such as game drives and a boat cruise to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls, which is regarded as one of the most forceful waterfalls globally. You’ll also have access to witness a mind-blowing collection of wildlife spanning elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, giraffes, hippos, and various antelope species. Additionally, spot an abundant range of bird species and get up close with critically endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat on an exhilarating gorilla trekking experience.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Your adventure will officially begin on Day 1. Our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Entebbe Airport for a domestic flight with Bar Aviation to Pakuba Airstrip. Your plane departs at 12:05 pm. Once you’re there, our driver guide will meet up with you and take you to your lodge where lunch and relaxation await. In the evening, a thrilling game drive awaits as you search for buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, Uganda kobs, giraffes, waterbucks, Jackson's hartebeest, and oribi. Dinner and a well-deserved rest at the lodge follows.
You won’t be sleeping in on Day 2. Rise bright and early so that we can head out on an early morning game drive before predators like leopards and lions retreat back into their hiding spots. You’ll also see animals grazing in the savannah plains if luck is on your side. After lunching at your lodge embark on a boat cruise to Murchison Falls Base that lasts about 2-3 hours. As we move along we should spot hippos and Nile crocodiles in large numbers of the water; elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs along the banks; fish eagles , kingfishers , cormorants , bee-eaters - birds! If that wasn’t enough wildlife for one day.
Day 3: Nile Delta boat cruise and afternoon game drive
Day 3 sees us getting back onto the water for another boat cruise . This time it’s a breathtaking Nile Delta boat cruise that might just take away any words you have left after yesterday’s adventure—lasting about five hours now we’ll come across rare bird species like African skimmer , shoebill stork which are normally seen around here; goliath heron ; African jacana etc… Along our journey people fetching water from the river bank would look so nice; fishermen casting their nets in Lake Albert; and more wildlife of course. Lunch is always the best way to end an adventure.
Day 4: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On Day 4, make your way to the top of Murchison Falls for unforgettable views of the waterfalls and the natural world around it. Take some time here, eat a quick lunch, and then head over to Pakuba Airstrip for your domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip. You should arrive at 14:25 pm where you’ll meet your guide who will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The next day is what you’ve been waiting for! On Day 5 get ready for an incredible gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Get briefed on safety, rules, and expectations before joining a group of like-minded explorers and an experienced park guide. Trek through the thick jungle as you search for a designated gorilla family. Depending on where they are located this journey could take up to eight hours, so be prepared with snacks! Along the way you’ll see many other animals including buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, chimpanzees and various monkey species. Once you find them, spend one hour watching their natural behaviors unfold before your eyes. Learn about these magnificent creatures' habits as well as some cool facts from your guide. All while capturing memories that’ll last forever on camera. Upon returning from the trek you’ll be given a certificate of participation before heading back to your lodge.
Day 6: Fly back to Entebbe International Airport
Finally on Day 6 say goodbye to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with full bellys after breakfast. Your driver will transfer you to Kihihi Airstrip where you will catch a flight back to Entebbe International Airport marking the end of an unforgettable trip!
