This trip takes you into the heart of African wilderness and wildlife, showcasing the unparalleled beauty of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the world's largest mountain gorilla population, and the diverse wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where four of the legendary Big Five animals reside.
Our package includes domestic flights from Entebbe to Bwindi and from Queen Elizabeth back to Kampala. Domestic flights are operated by Aero Link which has morning departures at 07:45am or afternoon departure at 12:45pm depending on your arrival time.
Day 1: Arrival And Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Your adventure begins upon landing at Entebbe International Airport where you’ll be met by our knowledgeable safari driver guide. With no time wasted, we shall proceed directly for a domestic flight to Bwindi operated by Aero Link with morning departures at 07:45am or afternoon departure at 12:45pm depending on your arrival time. On arrival at Kihihi airstrip, our dedicated driver shall meet you there and drop you off your accommodation ranging from Trackers Safari Lodge (luxury), Gorilla Mist Camp (mid-range) or Karungi Camp (budget). Relax as you make yourself comfortable in your room while savoring a delightful dinner before getting enough rest in preparation for next day’s unforgettable adventure.Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
On Day two we shall wake up early for an unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience. You will have an early morning breakfast and proceed to Bwindi for the highlight of this safari. Our experienced rangers will guide you through the jungles as you search for these beautiful creatures, it takes on average 2-4 hours to find a gorilla family however, it can also take less or more time depending on their movement. Embark on a stunning journey in Bwindi’s lush green forests until you locate a gorilla family then spend one magical hour with them. Take pictures and enjoy their playful antics till its time to say goodbye and leave for your lodge. For those interested, we can arrange a cultural Batwa trail experience or retreat back to your lodge.Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking Uganda, Proceed To Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day three is another opportunity to meet new gorilla families and trekkers are given a chance to bid farewell Bwindi after the encounter. We shall travel by road from Kihihi via Ishasha sector (famous for tree-climbing lions) before checking into your accommodation in Queen Elizabeth National Park such as Mweya Safari Lodge (luxury), Irungu Forest Lodge (mid-range), Kabatoro Guest House (budget). Rest over dinner as you prepare for tomorrow's adventure.Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
Day four is all about excitement in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Wake up early and embark on a game drive through the vast plains named after Queen Elizabeth’s visit to Uganda. It’s home remarkable wildlife including elephants, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kob, warthogs and fascinating bird species.After lunch set sail on an afternoon launch cruise along Kazinga Channel which has the world’s largest concentration of hippos. As you sail along shores witness herds of animals quenching their thirst plus sightings of elegant birds like herons, grey crowned cranes and elusive shoebill among others.Day 5: Wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park & Proceed Home
Indulge in a calming breakfast before going on one last wild drive through Queen Elizabeth’s beautiful landscapes. Enjoy your lunch at the lodge then say goodbye to it as you head back to Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip. This 5 day Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth flying safari comes to an end with unforgettable memories. The package includes airport transfers, gorilla trekking permits, park fees, boat cruises, a 4x4 safari vehicle with fuel, an English-speaking guide, accommodation, meals and bottled water.
