Tour Plan

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Pick up from your Hotel by the guide who will brief you about your 6days safari. Then begin your 4-5 hours journey to Lake Mburo NP along the Kampala-Masaka Highway. You will have a leg-stretch on the way where you will take photos at the equator and even buy some crafts. Proceed and arrive at the Park in the afternoon, check in at the lodge you chose and have lunch. Later drive through the Park to look for animals, you will see some of these such as zebras, antelopes, water hogs, giraffes, impalas and many more. Head back to the lodge that evening for diner. Day 2: From Lake Mburo to Bwindi

Have breakfast and drive to Bwindi situated in the Southwestern part of Uganda. You will go through Mbarara town where you will have lunch and continue through amazing landscape with comprised of rolling terraced hills, forests and valleys. Arrive that evening, and check in at the accommodation you chose, it is also based on which sector of the Park you will be trekking from. Relax and have and Overnight stay. Accommodation Options;

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Experience and Community Walk

After breakfast, drive to the Park for briefing and as led by the skilled ranger guides enter into the jungle to search for the Gorillas. Ensure that you follow all the rules and regulations given to you such that you know how to behave and react while before these Mighty Giants. The trek is sometimes strenuous and other times not, this is based on the location of the Gorillas, hence it could last between 2 to 8hours. You are advised to pack snacks, enough water, raincoats, boots and a waterproof camera since in most cases the weather in the forest is unpredictable. When you see the Gorillas, apply all that is told to you by your ranger guide, you will be with them for at least one hour and after head back to the lodge, unwind and prepare to go for a community visit in the nearby village. During your walk in the Batwa Community you will enjoy amazing cultural performances which include dances and songs, as well as listening to the stories from the elders. Day 4: Leave Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth NP through Ishasha

On this day, leave Bwindi and begin your journey through stunning savannah vegetation, with a stop in Ishasha area to watch the tree climbing lions and other animals. Later proceed and arrive at Queen Elizabeth NP which is home to various species of wildlife including the Big 4; lions, elephants, leopards and buffaloes and also hosts the Channel that connects the Lakes George and Edward known as Kazinga Channel. It is an amazing park with other animals such as warthogs, crocodiles, antelopes, hippos, kobs and many more.  You will enjoy an evening game drive as you proceed to the lodge you chose. Day 5: Morning Game Drive plus a Boat Cruise in the Afternoon

Wake up early and have breakfast, and head out for a game drive in the park especially at long the Kasenyi route where you see a number of wildlife such as lions, antelopes, water bucks, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and some birds. After, drive back to the lodge and have lunch, in the afternoon your guide will take you to Kazinga Channel where you will board from the boat and sail along the channel, you will see various water birds like the pelicans, kingfishers and wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, water bucks and hippos. Cruising on this channel is unforgettable with spectacular views and wildlife everywhere. After the cruise go back to the lodge for diner. Accommodation Options;

Day 6: Return to Kampala

Enjoy breakfast and drive through the park as you head to Kampala, you will enjoy watching the stunning landscapes. Enjoy lunch en route and reach Kampala in the afternoon. Your guide will drop you off at the hotel or take you to the Airport depending on your departure time back home.

Safari Overview

The 6 Day Safari takes you to the National Parks found in the Western and Southwestern regions of Uganda. It will take you firstly to Lake Mburo which is a great park for day and night game drives and also exciting boat cruises along the stunning lake. It is one of the country’s smallest parks but with big numbers of wildlife such as impalas, zebras, antelopes, giraffes as well as different bird species. The safari also takes you to Bwindi which has a diverse eco-system hosting about 400 Mountain Gorillas and other primates like chimps and monkeys, also other animals like the forest elephants and buffaloes can be seen, you can’t miss out on the amazing bird species and the rich culture of the Batwa. This park has 4 sectors which host different gorilla families, Ruhija, Buhoma, Nkuringo and Rushaga. Another Park is Queen Elizabeth named after Queen Elizabeth II of England, it is famously known for amazing game drives which enable you to see various Wildlife species, climbing lions in Ishasha area, chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge as well as the remarkable boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.
